After a decade-long journey towards creating an inclusive and growth-oriented culture, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance has been ‘Great Place to Work – CertifiedTM‘ for its robust, employee-centric practices.

Vikas Bansal, Chief Human Resource Officer, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance said, “Life Insurance is a noble business, that serves to protect people’s dreams and aspirations. This business is heavily dependent on employee centricity, as they make way for innovation, excellence and customer centricity. Since inception, our focus has been to create policies and initiatives that nurture our employees and provide them a springboard for development in their personal careers, along with that of the company.”

This certification comes on the back of a noteworthy initiative launched by the insurer during the Covid 19 pandemic, called Edge. This initiative focuses on nurturing three aspects that are instrumental to a fulfilling stint for any employee – Growth, Development, and Impacting Lives.

Under the Growth pillar, the insurer has charted out a complete growth journey for every employee within the company. Through the Development pillar, the insurer has designed a complete functional, business, and personal learning journey for every employee. As a part of the Impacting Lives pillar, the insurer has created multiple initiatives to safeguard employees’ physical, emotional and financial wellbeing. This pillar also hopes to inculcate the spirit of responsible corporate citizenship.

“We are really proud of this achievement and believe it is the first step towards becoming a preferred employer in not only life insurance, but in India. It is a great motivator for us to continue creating a sustainable, diverse and inclusive culture for our employees,” Bansal added.
