18 Lakh New Entrepreneurs Added in Last 4 Years: Giriraj Singh

The importance of MSMEs in the economic growth has been well understood. Government authorities have made it very clear that sincere efforts should be made in order to ensure entrepreneurship development in India. Ministry of MSME, Govt of India have become such agency to drive this mandate.

About 18 lakh new entrepreneurs were created through various initiatives taken by the MSME Ministry in the last four years, said Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of State for MSMEs while interacting with media during the launch of MSME Insider,  a monthly e-newsletter.

He said, “We have been working towards employment generation and with this newsletter, MSME centric readers can keep a check on Ministry activities.”

MSME Minister also emphasized on the importance of information, by saying, “For MSMEs the importance of getting proper information is necessary. A good entrepreneur is the one who is equipped with proper and updated information. On the contrary, because of lack of information, some segment of people remain unaware of the Ministry activities the entrepreneur is bound to struggle. Thus to bridge that gap, this e-newsletter portal has been launched.”

With the medium of this portal, Mr. Singh said, “We keep you updated about the monthly activities of the Ministry.”

Singh said, “We have been taking initiatives to keep the MSME Ministry more transparent and this is one of them.”

The e-newsletter is available on the website of the Ministry www.msme.gov.in as well as on the websites of its attached organizations.

It will be made available in both the languages Hindi and English and will also be distributed to about 50 lakh MSMEs registered on the Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum Portal.
