magicpin Offers Free Health Insurance Cover of ₹1 Lakh To it’s Retailers

Sharing is caring!

Fintech based savings app, magicpin has extended health insurance coverage to not just their staff members, but also their merchant partners. The free healthcare membership includes health insurance cover of ₹1 lakh and accidental insurance upto ₹3 lakh.

The leader in offline marketing for retailers in India, magicpin has 5 Million+ users, and is live in cities like Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Goa, Chennai, Ahmedabad and is quickly spreading to more cities and countries. The offline discovery and rewards platform, owned by Samast Technologies, is the go-to platform for retailers and brands who want to reach out to relevant local customers.

The brand is well aware of the impact the Covid-19 pandemic has had on local merchants around the nation, and is determined to stand with them through these tough times. Earlier this year, magicpin put together a team of volunteers who went out of their way to help arrange beds, medicines, and oxygen for over 1.5 lakh merchant partners and hundreds of thousands of people these partners have employed. One of the valuable insights that magicpin has drawn from this pandemic is that several of its merchant partners do not have adequate health cover. While the pandemic has impacted everyone in some way or the other, it has been ruthless on small businessmen and their teams.

In an effort to give back to their partners, magicpin has launched a pioneering healthcare membership. The scheme enables our merchant partners, and their employees, to access free healthcare membership for 3 months, health insurance cover of ₹1 lakh (Covid and non-Covid expenses), accidental insurance up to ₹3 lakh, as well as significant discounts on teleconsultations and medicines. This healthcare membership is an effort on magicpin’s part to do its bit for small businesses and their staff.

On the occasion of the rollout, Brij Bhushan, co-founder and COO at magicpin, said, “Small retailers are an integral part of the magicpin community and the overall economy. We are seeing first-hand, the impact of Covid on our retailer partners. This health insurance coverage is a small step by us to help the community in a time of need.

magicpin’s partner network is vast, and includes merchants like Burnout Cafe, Lord of the Drinks Chamber, Sizzling Culture, The Bowl Shack, Voosh Thalis & Bowls-Jayanagar, among others. The free and comprehensive healthcare membership, in collaboration with Onsurity, is a step that hopes to accord peace of mind to our merchant partners, their staff, and extended families.

The healthcare programme offers merchant partners and their employees several features. Some of these include:

  • Health insurance up to ₹1 lakh for Covid-related, as well as non-Covid expenses, including hospitalisation expenses and ambulance charges
  • Accidental insurance up to ₹3 lakh with no waiting period
  • Significant discounts on doctor’s consultation over the phone, medicines, and lab tests
  • Offers on fitness and wellness programmes
  • Hospital admission support
  • Query management
  • 24×7 availability of doctors

“In these times of complete uncertainty, we hope that this free healthcare membership will offer a modicum of peace to our trusted partners. Because healthy partners are happy partners,” Mr Bhushan said.
