Surplus Land of BBMB will be Used to Set Up Micro Industries/ MSME Manufacturing: Jai Ram Thakur

To motivate MSME entrepreneurs, Jai Ram Thakur, CM, Himachal Pradesh of BBMB will be used to set up MSME Manufacturing, micro industrial units in the state.

In his bid to motivate entrepreneurs from MSME segment, Mr. Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minster of Himachal Pradesh announced that surplus land acquired for Bhakara Beas Management Board (BBMB) project would be used to set up micro industrial units in the state.

Mr Thakur announced this while a delegation of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) led by Deputy Chairman, North CII, Sachit Jain called on him here.

The CM discussed various issues pertaining to problems being faced by the entrepreneurs in the industrial belt of Baddi, Barotiwala, Nalagarh etc.

They stressed for constituting a task force on specific issues, particularly dealing with the problem of transportation, power improvement and long pending truck union issues.

They said they were facing problem of transporting raw material and stiff competition from Punjab and Haryana pertaining to power tariff as it was Rs five per unit in neighbouring states as compared to Himachal which was quite high.
