Sanction of Hyderabad-Warangal and Hyderabad-Nagpur Industrial Corridors

Government of Telangana had submitted a proposal for setting up of Hyderabad – Warangal Industrial Corridor and Hyderabad – Nagpur Industrial Corridor which was considered by National Industrial Corridor Development & Implementation Trust (NICDIT). It was decided that the government of Telangana would carry out a feasibility study and identify available land for this project. Subsequently, the Government of Telangana submitted final feasibility reports and stated industrial corridors in October 2019.

Informing the Rajya Sabha in the form of a written reply to a question, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, said, that the Government of Telangana had submitted a proposal for setting up of Hyderabad – Warangal Industrial Corridor and Hyderabad – Nagpur Industrial Corridor which was considered by National Industrial Corridor Development & Implementation Trust (NICDIT). It was decided that the government of Telangana would carry out a feasibility study and identify available land for this project. Subsequently, the Government of Telangana submitted final feasibility reports and stated industrial corridors in October 2019.

To consider this feasibility of these reports a meeting was held in January, 2020 between the officials of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Ltd. (DMICDC) and Telangana State IndustrialInfrastructure Corporation Ltd. (TSIIC). It was decided in the meeting that TSIIC would submit a revised proposal in accordance with the institutional and financial structure as approved by the Government of India for development of industrial corridor projects.
