Reliance Industries Aims to Be Among World’s Top 20 Firms

Reliance Industries celebrated its annual event at the Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai.

At the event, Mukesh Ambani, CMD of Reliance Industries said, "We owe all progress which Reliance has made to the founder and his father Dhirubhai Ambani."

He further said that we shall remain true to Dhirubhai's vision, ideals and principles.

Reliance has grown from one employee to 250,000 today, he added.

Showering praises for the founder of the Reliance industries, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan said Dhirubhai did not have much wealth at the time of foundation contrary to other business leaders.

Mukesh and Nita Ambani's children Isha Ambani, Akash Ambani and Anant Ambani took the stage together and gave the audience a glimpse into the Reliance of the future.

"It is because of him (Dhirubhai) that Reliance has grown from one employee to over two lakh fifty thousand today, from an initial investment of Rs 1,000 to a company of over Rs 6 lakh crore, and from operations in one city to 28,000 cities and towns, and over four lakh villages", Ambani said. "Yes we can. and yes we will", said Ambani. He was not the third or fourth generation businessman.

Not just twins-Isha and Aakash Ambani but Ambani's younger son Anant will also make appearance at the function. Shah Rukh is also the brand ambassador for Reliance Jio.

More than 50,000 people, comprising employees and their families, attended the grand celebrations at the Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai while another 2,00,000 employees and their families joined the celebrations live via video conferencing in more than 1000 locations across the country including manufacturing sites, retail stores, Jio Points etc.
