Over 200 Job Openings at 1M1B Job Mela in Andhra Pradesh

Marking a significant step toward bridging the skill gap and enhancing youth employability, the United Nations-accredited 1M1B (One Million for One Billion), in collaboration with the MVN JS & RVR Degree College, Malkipuram, Andhra Pradesh hosted the first-ever 1M1B Job Mela of the East Godavari Region on Tuesday, May 27. The job mela aimed to create meaningful employment opportunities for young job seekers, empowering them with career prospects across various industries.

The one-day Job Mela was attended by dignitaries from the college, and members of the 1M1B team. Youth from cities like Malkipuram, Amalapuram, Narsapur and Bhimavaram participated with great enthusiasm.

The primary objective of the Job Mela was to provide employment opportunities to the youth of Andhra Pradesh, particularly from the East and West Godavari regions. Over 200 job openings across multiple sectors—including manufacturing, retail, electronics, telecom, BFSI, and Sales —were made available to job seekers. Additionally, attendees engaged in interactive sessions on career guidance and skill development gaining valuable insights into corporate work culture and interview preparation. Several candidates were selected during the event and will now proceed to the next rounds of recruitment.

Selected candidates will be placed in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.

To conduct more such job fairs and skill youth, 1M1B soon will also be setting up a 1M1B Job Readiness Centre in the region. This initiative of Job fairs is set to play a pivotal role in equipping young individuals with stable, well-paying jobs, driving economic growth, and fostering long-term career development in the region.
