Nitin Gadkari Highlighted Govt.’s Initiatives on Entrepreneurship Development in Rajya Sabha

Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has setup 102 Enterprise Facilitation Centers and 50 Export Facilitation Centres in the MSME Development Institutes, MSME Technology Centres, MSME Testing Centres and Service & Training Centres of National Small Industries Corporation. These Centers provide handholding and facilitation support to MSMEs.

This information was given by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha.

MSME Minister have regularly re-narrated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goals of 5 Trillion Dollar Economy by 2024 and to witness this goal setting, entrepreneurship development is the key. Several MSME Schemes are getting implemented at the ground level just to motivate and give a boost to entrepreneurs, Shri Gadkari mentioned in a recent interaction with SMEStreet.

“Strong political will is very important to achieve any goal. Manifesting the same will, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set ourselves the goal of making the country a USD 5 trillion economy,” Shri Gadkari have made this point in a recent interaction.

“This goal is difficult but not impossible,” he always mentioned. “Our country has plenty of resources and production capacity. Despite that we are spending crores every year on importing goods like medicines, medical devices, coal, copper, papers, etc,” the Union minister said.

“If we want to become a $5 trillion economy, we have to increase the domestic production of these things instead of importing them,” he said.
