MSME Ministry Requested Industries To Hand Over Empty Oxygen Cylinders

Sharing is caring!

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has requested the industries, across the country, to hand over the empty oxygen cylinders to the local administration, to provide more oxygen supply to COVID-19 patients.

”As you are aware that due to the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases, the demand for medical oxygen in all parts of the country has gone up hugely. The Government of India has taken various initiatives to augment production and supply of oxygen for medical purposes such as the supply of oxygen has been stopped for industrial purposes except for very few specified industries,” the ministry said in a letter to industries.

”You are requested to spare empty oxygen cylinders in your possession and hand these cylinders over to the local administration so that the same are utilized for supplying oxygen to COVID-19 patients,” it added.
