Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, strongly criticized the recent disruptions in parliament while addressing the media today in New Delhi. Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi countered the opposition parties distorted interpretation of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah's comments on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He emphasized the current government's dedication to upholding Ambedkar's principles and legacy.
"The recent unprecedented incidents in Parliament, which resulted in two MPs being hospitalization, are deeply concerning," stated Minister Manjhi. He added, the opposition's deliberate misrepresentation of Home Minister Shri Amit Shah's statements about Dr. B. R. Ambedkar reflects their political motive rather than genuine concern for Dr. Ambedkar's legacy.
He further added that the current government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown unprecedented respect for Dr. Ambedkar's contributions, in contrast to previous congress government's. He specifically referred to the historical stance of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on reservation policies, suggesting that implementation of those views would have hindered the progress of underprivileged communities.
"Dr. Ambedkar gave India the world's finest constitution, ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens," Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi emphasized. "His expertise extended far beyond legal matters, encompassing multiple disciplines."
Addressing current political concern, the Minister dismissed claims about threats to the Constitution, stating, the Constitution faces no danger under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. Instead, we're witnessing the strongest commitment to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's legacy and vision in our history.
Talking about India's economic growth, Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi highlighted the MSME sector's crucial role in employment generation and GDP growth. He assured that the sector continues to receive robust support through bank guarantees and budgetary allocations, aligned with the Prime Minister's vision for economic development. While the opposition engages in political theatrics. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi remains focused on transforming India into a global economic powerhouse by 2047.
