 In the meeting various agenda items related to MGIRI were discussed in detail and approval for the Annual Budget for FY 2024-25 & 2025-26 and Annual Financial Statement 2023-24 was accorded.

Union Minister for MSME, and President of General Council (GC) of Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Rural Industrialization (MGIRI), Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi presided over the 11th Meeting of General Council (GC) on 25.11.2024 at Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi in the presence of Minister of State for MSME & Senior Vice President of GC, Ms. Shobha Karandlaje, Chairman/KVIC & Vice President of GC, Shri Manoj Kumar, Secretary (MSME) & Vice President of GC, Joint Secretary (ARI), CEO/ KVIC, Director/MGIRI and other Members of the GC and officials of the Ministry of MSME and MGIRI.

The achievements of the Institute such as innovative products / processes developed, entrepreneurs developed, patents granted and Training programmes conducted were also discussed. A proposal for repositioning of MGIRI as a Centre of Excellence for Rural Industrialization was also discussed. Hon’ble Minister (MSME) gave directions for enhancing the work of the Institute for promotion and growth of Rural Industries and development of Rural Entrepreneurs.
