‘Make in India’ Motivated Detel Mobile Set to Thrill the Market by it’s Latest Smart LED TV

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had envisioned a next-generation manufacturing success story for the country. And started an campaign to enable and motivate entrepreneurs from ‘Make In India’ campaign. The major driver behind this campaign was to create a positive environment for Manufacturers specially from MSME segment so that more and more production can be developed from India. The campaign has impressed many entrepreneurs and among them is Mr Yogesh Bhatia, Managing Director, S.G. Corporate Mobility. Mr. Bhatia is known for introducing world’s most affordable mobile phone by the name of Detel Mobile. In a conversation with Faiz Askari of SMESreet, Mr Bhatia informed his plans and vision for the Indian masses.

The main priorities for Mr Bhatia’s work revolves around enabling the common man with products that are needed by them in their preferred price.  “We design and deliver products for the common people of the country. When we decided to design a mobile, we kept the common man at central point. ‘Make-in-India’ campaign has impressed me to conceptualized Detel Mobile. We have introduced a Smart LED TV which is not just low-priced but also very attractive in features. Moving forward, we aim to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which will produce Make in India products.”

Widely known for launching the world’s most economical feature-phone, Detel is now all set to transform the television viewing experience in the country. As per a recent report, while Indian television market is projected to cross U.S. $9 billion by 2021, Smart TVs fall under the premium category which constitutes less than 15% of the overall sales. Due to soaring prices of smart TVs, the country is still unable to capitalise on the existing market potential, as there is a huge vacuum in the market for affordable smart TVs.

The company has also launched two other LED televisions with 24-inch and 32-inch screen sizes at Rs 9,999 and Rs 13,999 respectively. is an exclusive e-distribution partner for the whole product range by Detel.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Bhatia, says, “With the launch of the world’s most economical feature-phone, we had broken a barrier of access to communication for people at the bottom of the pyramid. Now with a strong vision of ‘Banega India Smart’ we are set to embark on a new journey with the launch of ‘India ka TV’. We want those digitally connected people to experience a new way of watching television and access internet on their TVs. We hope to reach to the remotest parts of the country with our affordable models and make difference to the lives of millions.”

The company plans to launch yet another range of LED TVs between 24-65 inches in the market later this month.
