Its Goal is to eventually become a one stop sporting solution for all your sporting needs. We want to make sure nobody has a reason to say they cannot play a particular sport due to lack of players or locations. The App aids you in not only meeting new sports players but also gives you access to locations you did not even know existed.
SMEStreet interacted with the founders of PlayOSport, Jimit Shah, Finance Captain, Dishant Sanghvi, Marketing Captain and Jinay Shah, Operations Captain of PlayOSport for an elaborated overviewew on this interesting startup company.

How did the idea of PlayOSport emerged and became a business entity?
Countless years have gone by and so have the numerous Olympics, every year we have a dismal performance. Everybody talks about it for a while and then it is forgotten. Sports as a culture has to be promoted in our country. According to our survey 75% of the people stop playing a sport once they pass out of college due to lack of company or places. I used to be a football addict, would play for 5 hours a day straight from there I directly went to not playing even for 5 hours in a week. There had to be a solution. It was not like the grounds were empty, people were playing but the problem was I did not know them and was maybe a tad bit shy to go approach them directly. Thus, a social platform for sports enthusiasts to find other like-minded people was born.
What is the unique offering you provide to the users of PlayOSport?
PlayOSport helps users to organise a game of any sport at whichever location they like, Be it a public ground or a building compound. The app has no limitations as per selecting the location. This is the USP of PlayOSport.
How many downloads you have seen so far?
We’ve Got about a thousand downloads so far combining android and Apple.
By when do you see PlayOSport crossing million downloads? What are your plans to achieve the target?
We plan to cross a million downloads by the year 2018. To achieve this target we plan to tie up with various sporting organizations and institutes that will help us grow. We aim to be the leader in the market by using extensive marketing campaigns
What is your go to market strategy so far?
Our marketing strategy so far has been delivering user generating content and customer interaction. We have also focused on marketing our App by creating awareness about the solution of the sporting problems which people face in their daily life.
Please share your expansion plans.
We plan to make PlayOSport the only sports based platorm which will be catered to a wide audience. We plan to tie up with various institutions and committees to work efficiently. We also plan to expand our Sports event management service to a much broader scope
Are you looking at any additional investment for your expansion?
Yes, but we are as of now self funded. Everything up to this moment has been made with our saved/earned money. We wanted to set a proof of concept and a successful working platform before approaching the investors.
