Manohar Parrikar Will Be Remembered By MSMEs

As the nation mourns the demise of Manohar Parrikar, the Chief Minister of Goa and former defence minister, the country's small and medium entrepreneurs say he will be remembered for his excellent contribution in the growth and development of the country.

He was a visionary whose contribution to the state and the country as a defence minister is remarkable.

Industry stakeholders especially SMEs are remembering Manohar Parrikar’s role as a Defence Minister. Though his tenure was for less than 3 years in Defence Ministry the changes in procurement policy and the book that he wrote on the procurement policy will help MSMEs in long run, this was considered by most of the industry experts who are focused on SMEs vertical.

from the SMEs' perspective, Manohar Parrikar has set up a ball rolling which the present and the future defence minister shall certainly follow.

His book on procurement policy in defence will definitely be going to help MSMEs in short term, medium term and in the long term as the major focus has been given to boost indigenous defence production, he added.
