Innovators’ thinking leads to a great business plan. And a great execution of that plan makes it a success story. Shaifali Agarwal, co-founder of Easyfix is one such entrepreneur who is on a mission to transform India’s blue colored service industry.
“Being a working woman myself it was a big time consuming task for me to take out time to find someone to repair a broken tap or flush. With such concerns in mind, I thought this gap can be a great business opportunity and hence we formed Easyfix,” informed Shaifali Agarwal, in an exclusive interaction with Faiz Askari of SMEStreet.
SMEStreet: Please share your experiences as an entrepreneur with an innovative business plan around service industry?
The service Industry in India is rapidly evolving. Easyfix is committed to contribute towards the growth of Indian economy. The biggest objective is to work in the area of blue collar services like carpentry, plumbing and electrical issues etc.With such approach we are providing a value add to the society by ensuring best quality and best experience of common consumers.
SMEStreet: How did this business idea come to your mind? What actually inspired you to drive this business?
Shaifali Agarwal: I understood that there was a need for a credible resource for blue colored services.
In 2011 an idea struck in my mind that Indian consumers need professional unified maintenance service provider which should remain a single call away. We conceptualized Easyfix and launched platform.
We tried to emerge as a most viable option of solution for those who are stucked with some day to day problem related to any plumbing issue, or domestic electrical etc.
SMEStreet: How is the response now after three years of operations? How is your business journey so far?
Shaifali Agarwal: We started at a small level with very few calls on daily basis. Now, we serve more than 300 calls on daily basis. We are active in geographies such as Delhi NCR and Bangalore. We have more than 2500 blue colored professionals who are on the field. To manage them, we have a call center and a robust support team which enables them to deliver their services in a standardized manner.
SMEStreet: What are the biggest and unique attractions of EasyFix services?
Shaifali Agarwal: We offer day to day household maintenance services with a professional touch, quick turn around and deliver all this at the convenience of our customers. With Easyfix, our customers can free themselves from the tedious tasks such as searching, negotiating and following up with untrained servicemen.
SMEStreet: Can you throw some light on the financial performance of your company?
Shaifali Agarwal: We are doing close to 3 Crore of annual turnover. Company is growing at a regular and constant speed.
SMEStreet: What are your next level plans for business expansion?
Shaifali Agarwal: Very soon, we are entering into newer markets such as Mumbai. Gradually we will have a pan India presence with the vision of becoming largest employers of blue collar workers and also to emerge as leading blue collar training institute.
