Greater Noida-based Alpex Solar Ltd, an NSE Emerge-listed manufacturer of solar systems, today announced a series of significant order wins across its EPC services and product segments, including photovoltaic (PV) modules and solar pumps.
In a major development, Alpex Solar, in consortium with NVNR Power & Infra Ltd, has secured a Rs 349.99 crore order from Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL), a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd. The project marks a substantial boost to Alpex Solar’s EPC capabilities. It encompasses the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, fabrication, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of a grid-connected ground-mounted solar power plant at Nandan Washery, Kanhan area, under Western Coalfields Limited (WCL). Alpex Solar holds a 70% stake in the consortium.
Under the project, the consortium will also construct a 32kV double-circuit transmission line from the main control station to the feeding substation, along with requisite bay extension works. The power generated will be used to supply various load centres within WCL through open access, ensuring captive consumption of clean energy.
Alpex Solar also recently won an order worth Rs 210 crore for the supply of solar modules to the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), further consolidating its position as a key player in India’s renewable energy sector.
Three orders worth Rs. 823.85 crore awarded
Alpex Solar Ltd continues to strengthen its position in the renewable energy sector with a series of significant order wins totalling Rs 823.85 crore.
In the first week of May 2025, the company secured a Rs 378 crore order for the supply of solar PV modules to a leading industry player, further expanding its footprint in the domestic solar manufacturing space.
Moreover, Alpex Solar received a Rs 65.33 crore order from the Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) under Component B of the PM-KUSUM scheme. The order involves the supply of 2,119 solar water pumps, reflecting the company’s growing role in supporting agricultural electrification through clean energy solutions.
Earlier, in April 2025, the company bagged another major order worth Rs 380.52 crore for the supply of solar modules from a prominent Indian manufacturer, adding further depth to its already robust order book.
Commenting on the new order, Mr Ashwani Sehgal, Managing Director, Alpex Solar, said, “As one of the leading manufacturers of integrated solar systems, it has been our constant endeavour to provide cutting-edge solution to companies operating in the renewable energy space. The slew of orders bagged by us in the past few months is testament to our comprehensive capabilities and commitment to excellence. Furthermore, with our recent order win, we have solidified our position as a formidable EPC player in the solar sector. The new order from CMPDIL is a testament to our exemplary efforts, ensuring that we continue to refine our capabilities to cater to the integrated opportunity ecosystem of solar energy, from manufacturing cells, modules, and frames to EPC services. We continue to be committed to creating value for our stakeholders – and building a globally-reputed institution going forward.”
It is worth noting that India, which ranks 4th globally in Renewable Energy Installed Capacity (including Large Hydro), has set an ambitious target at COP26 of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based energy by 2030. Alpex Solar is aligned with this national goal and continues to invest in capacity expansion and technology innovation.
The company manufactures PV modules using both monocrystalline and TopCON cell technologies and offers comprehensive solar energy solutions, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for AC/DC Solar Pumps in both Surface and Submersible categories. Alpex Solar, which has been investing heavily in the renewable energy sector, has incorporated a subsidiary company, Alpex GH2 Private Ltd (AGPL), to foray into the green energy business.
