Consumr.ai, India’s leading next-gen customer intelligence platform, has announced its selection by HDFC ERGO to pilot a proof-of-concept (POC) aimed at transforming the insurance customer journey. The engagement will address key business challenges across media efficiency, creative intelligence, audience discovery, segmentation, positioning, and product innovation.
Consumr.ai was chosen after emerging as one of four winners of TechPreneur Season 2, an innovation program that drew over 140 AI and technology companies worldwide. The winners were selected following a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process involving senior leaders from BCG, Google, HDFC ERGO, and ERGO International.
At the core of the POC is Consumr.ai’s proprietary AI Twins technology: virtual representations of consumer cohorts built on real behavioral data. AI Twins simulate how different audience segments respond to content, products, and messaging, enabling always-on, consumer-informed decision-making. This ensures HDFC ERGO can place customers at the center of every marketing, creative, and product choice.
The POC will leverage deterministic behavioral data from hundreds of millions of global users through integrations with platforms such as Meta, Google, DV360, LinkedIn, Snap, and Amazon. HDFC ERGO’s own first-party customer data can also be securely onboarded, segmented, and modeled into AI Twins without ingesting personally identifiable information (PII). All insights are anonymised at a cohort level, with full GDPR and CCPA compliance.
Vivek Bhargava, Co-Founder, Consumr.ai, said: "We are delighted to be selected by HDFC ERGO as one of the winners of TechPreneur Season 2. Our AI Twins technology transforms real behavioral data into actionable intelligence that enables real-time personalization at scale. This aligns perfectly with HDFC ERGO’s vision of a digitally agile, customer-first future."
On successful completion of the POC, the solution could be scaled across HDFC ERGO’s business lines, integrated into distribution channels, and extended to new use cases such as influencer marketing, regional positioning, and voice-of-customer programs. The partnership also has potential to expand to ERGO International’s global markets, creating a replicable model for customer-centric transformation in insurance.
Consumr.ai has delivered successful AI Twins implementations for Rustomjee, Aditya Birla Insurance, and a Fortune 100 US insurance leader over the past three years. The HDFC ERGO engagement strengthens its commitment to the BFSI sector and positions the platform as a catalyst for innovation in global insurance ecosystems.
