In a candid interview with Ankit Chhaparia of Kolkata based Coftea. This Kolkata based entrepreneur is redefining the business practises in the Pre Mixture Beverage Segment and explained some interesting insights around his industry segment.
When did you start coftea? What exclusivity you offered through your venture?
I started COFTEA in Sept 2014. Basically we install tea and coffee vending machine at offices, showrooms,  Corporates, factory, hotels, restaurants anywhere daily consumption of tea or coffee is around 20 or more cups. We do maintenance for it also on regular basis. We are also the manufacturer of premix with different flavours of tea, coffee, soup etc.
What made you venture into this particular segment?
Sometimes we are no one to decide any particular issue, so i believe it was in my destiny.
What is the current reach of coftea in terms of sales network?
We are Kolkata based organization but We are now working PAN India and trying to expand through our distribution channels.
What actually differentiates you from your competitors?
We are best in quality of premixs which we are manufacturing, keeping in mind a real Indian taste along with good health for drinkers. I would say competition is very good thing for any business,  so every business should face it in a significant manner. Without competition no one can grow.
With so many blends and other beverages options available, do you think the genext will prefer coffee and tea over other beverages?
I am pretty much sure that genext will choose coffee and tea over other beverages because no other beverages can refresh them during working hours. If they want to do hard work they have to be fresh and active at their works.
What are your plans for the next 5 years?
I would love to see COFTEA as one of the Market Leaders in our industry.
Do you see yourself moving out of Kolkata as you keep growing?
I will not leave Kolkata for sure, but yes any other city can be my 2nd home if the business requires it.
Can you name some of your major set of clients?
Jewellers like Senco Gold, Khadims, Inox, Irctc etc..
