Expanding its footprints in the country, Zoho opened a new office in Tirupati. The new office, located near the Renigunta railway station, was inaugurated by chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, in the presence of Zoho's CEO, Sridhar Vembu.

Also present on the occasion were the state's IT, Panchayati Raj, & Rural Development minister, N. Lokesh, and Zoho's chief evangelist, Raju Vegesna.

"We are very excited to open our facility in Andhra Pradesh, and it is entirely due to the vision and determination of Chief Minister Naidu-garu and IT Minister Lokesh-garu," said Sridhar Vembu, CEO, Zoho Corp. "The very first day I met the Chief Minister, I was impressed by his dedication to the state and he wanted Zoho to be in AP; today his dream has come true. We want to be long term partners for growth and employment generation in AP."

The new office has the capacity for 150 employees, to be hired locally over the following months. Zoho intends to expand further in the region and plans to build its own campus.

The Tirupati office will also house a branch of Zoho University, Zoho's in-house training programme for skill development, wherein high school students are recruited and trained in software programming over a period of 18 months. Those who complete the course are recruited by the company as employees. Around 15% of Zoho's 5,000 employees have come through this programme. Currently, Zoho University has branches in Chennai and Tenkasi, with a total strength of 100 students.

Zoho is the operating system for business, that is, a single platform with all the applications needed to run a business completely from the cloud. Marketing, sales and customer care apps—like Campaigns, CRM and Desk—enable a business to acquire and retain customers. Productivity and collaboration apps—like the Office Suite, Mail and Docs—empower employees, while Zoho’s finance and human resources apps—like Books, People and Recruit—run all business operations.

Zoho One, the flagship offering, includes advanced editions of all the apps under a single value package. But a businesses can start with even a single app or a smaller bundle. Zoho fiercely respects user privacy and does not have an ad-revenue model in any part of its business, including its free products.

More than 30 million users around the world, across hundreds of thousands of companies, rely on Zoho every day to run their businesses, including Zoho itself. Zoho Corporation is privately held and profitable with more than 5,000 employees. Zoho is headquartered in Pleasanton, California, with international headquarters in Chennai and additional offices in Austin, Amsterdam, Singapore, Yokohama, and Beijing.
