Shipway, Unicommerce’s logistics technology platform, today announced the launch of Shipway Cargo, a logistics SaaS solution purpose-built for quick commerce, other high-frequency B2B shipments and also for other heavy & bulky B2B shipments. The launch marks Shipway’s strategic expansion beyond parcel logistics into the fast-growing B2B segment.

Shipway Cargo addresses a critical need for brands and sellers moving dark-store replenishments, distributor supplies, inventory transfers and heavier goods, including bulky consumer deliveries - use cases where slab-based parcel shipping is often inefficient and costly.

With manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers increasingly relying on frequent and  technology-enabled B2B shipments to keep supply chains agile, structured high-frequency distribution is becoming essential. This is also a critical need for inventory-intensive models such as quick commerce, which depend on predictable and rapid replenishment.

The solution supports a wide range of B2B workflows, from warehouse-to-warehouse movement to bulky last-mile deliveries, offering greater control, transparency, and operational efficiency. A dedicated dashboard allows sellers to manage B2B shipments separately from parcel operations, with features such as slot-based delivery scheduling and access to specialised courier partners. Early adopters of Shipway Cargo include D2C brands, manufacturers, and B2B sellers with complex shipment requirements.

Commenting on the launch, Kapil Makhija, Managing Director and CEO of Unicommerce said, “B2B shipping is the invisible engine powering India’s retail growth today. As retailers expand across formats - from general and modern trade to quick commerce and omnichannel -  efficient inventory movement behind the scenes becomes critical. Quick-commerce, and other high-frequency B2B logistics require distinct workflows, partners, and service expectations beyond parcel shipping. Shipway Cargo has been built specifically to meet these needs.”

The launch comes amid steady growth in India’s e-commerce logistics market, which is projected to expand from USD 7.25 billion in 2026 to USD 11.14 billion by 2031, driven by rising automation, real-time visibility, and connected logistics platforms that are reshaping B2B shipping at scale.
