Choosing the road less travelled often leads to stories of resilience, creativity, and impact. This spirit of venturing beyond convention shaped the second edition of TEDxNMIMS Indore 2025, hosted at SVKM’s NMIMS Indore Campus. Centred on the theme ‘The Path Less Traveled’, the event brought together nine inspiring speakers who shared powerful narratives of innovation and bold choices that resonated deeply with the audience.

Mr. Anurag Kedia, Co-founder and CEO of Pilgrim, spoke about building a clean, cruelty-free, vegan skincare brand rooted in global traditions and made accessible to Indian consumers. YouTuber, gamer, and esports athlete Ms. Mallika Motiramani reflected on embracing uncharted directions that shaped her transformative journey, while NMIMS alumnus Mr. Munaf Kapadia, Founder of The Bohri Kitchen, shared insights from launching his unique home-dining venture in Mumbai and his memoir ‘How I Quit Google to sell Samosas’. Actress Ms. Eisha Singh shared how bold, unconventional choices shaped her journey in entertainment, while composer Ms. Malvica Chopra spoke about how being consistent and showing up every day makes you achieve what you truly desire.

Equally inspiring were stories from Mr. Gautam Munjal, Founder of Minimalist Hotels, who talked about the vast potential of Indian tourism and its role in shaping hospitality ventures, and Ms. Anamara Baig, CEO of empowHER India, who emphasized the urgent need to introduce missing subjects in classrooms such as empathy, kindness, compassion, poverty, and privilege. Ms. Shruti Khanijow, Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, shared her decade-long experience as an international arbitrator and mediator handling high-stakes disputes across ICC, UNCITRAL, LCIA, and SIAC in global forums. Mr. Vijay Sohni, former Assistant Commissioner, Tax and a renowned fitness enthusiast and long-distance runner, spoke about the discipline and diet required for a healthy lifestyle in the age of smartphones and social media.

Guided by campus mentors Mr. Akhilesh Rathi, Mr. Arvind Banthia, and Mr. Ajay Bankda, the event provided a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas. Dr Anshuman Jaswal, Director, NMIMS Indore, thanked the speakers and attendees, saying, “It is truly inspiring to hear about such diverse journeys of innovation and impact. Through these talks at TEDxNMIMS, we hope to ignite curiosity and empower our students to think outside the box while carving their own paths.”
