SMT Appoints Bhargav Kotadia as CEO and Jose Calle Gordo as Chairman

SMT, a global leader in cardiovascular medical devices, today announced the appointment of Mr. Bhargav Kotadia as its CEO and Mr. Jose Calle Gordo (‘Pepe’) as the Chairman effective April 1^st 2025.

Mr. Bhargav Kotadia succeeds Mr. Ganesh Sabat, who has played an instrumental role in SMT’s growth journey over the past 12 years. Mr. Sabat's leadership has been pivotal in expanding SMT’s global footprint, strengthening its innovation pipeline, and fostering a high-performance culture. The company expresses its deep gratitude for his dedication and contributions.

Mr. Dhirajlal Kotadia, SMT’s Founder and Chairman, will take on the role of Chairman Emeritus, continuing to provide strategic guidance while Mr. Jose Calle Gordo (‘Pepe’) will assume the role of Chairman, working closely with Mr. Kotadia to drive SMT’s next phase of growth.

Mr. Bhargav Kotadia has been closely associated with SMT’s strategic direction for last 12 years, playing a key role in shaping the company's expansion and innovation agenda.
