SEMICON India 2025 Concludes With Record Global Participation

The SEMICON India 2025 Exhibition, the centrepiece of India’s semiconductor calendar, concluded with resounding success, achieving record participation and unprecedented scale. Doubling in size from last year, the exhibition reinforced India’s determination to become a global hub for semiconductor innovation, manufacturing and talent.

The highlight of the event was the visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who toured the exhibition floor, interacting directly with global CXOs and innovators. He was accompanied by Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State Shri Jitin Prasada and Mr. S Krishnan, Secretary Meity. Their presence and engagement reaffirmed the confidence of international and domestic stakeholders in India’s semiconductor vision.

Record Scale and Global Participation

SEMICON India 2025 drew 21,000 unique visitors and hosted 1,275 booths( 350 Exhibitors)—double last year’s count—across 25,000 sq. meters of exhibition space. With 35,000 registrations, 30,000+ footfalls, and representation from 48 countries, the exhibition firmly positioned itself as a hub for global collaboration.

Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Walkthrough and CXO Engagement:

During his walkthrough, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited booths of leading global technology companies and Country Pavelians, where he witnessed live demonstrations of cutting-edge innovations. He also engaged directly with top CXOs and industry leaders at their booth, including Mr. Christophe Fouquet, President & CEO, ASML;  Dr. Randhir Thakur, CEO & MD, Tata Electronics, Mr. Prabhu Raja, President, Applied Materials, Rangesh Raghavan, Corporate VP & GM (India), LAM Research; Tony Kawai, President & CEO, Tokyo Electron; Ahmad Khan, President, KLA; Mr. Gursharan Singh, VP Micron, Dr. Mukesh V. Khare, GM & VP, IBM Semiconductors; Raghu Panicker, CEO, Kaynes, alongside senior leaders from Delta Electronics, DISCO, CG Semi,  and others.

Spotlight on Startups:

At the Startup Mitra Pavilion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi engaged with a dynamic group of innovators showcasing India’s design-led capabilities. Led by Ashok Chandak (CEO & President, SEMI India & IESA), the group included Vrinda Kapoor (3rd iTech), Pratap Narayan Singh (Vervesemi Microelectronics), Gautam Kumar Singh (Fermionic Design), Anantha Kinnal (Calligo Technologies), and Jyothis Indirabhai (Netrasemi), all showcased for their pioneering contributions to India needs.

International and State engagement was further underscored by four country pavilions (Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia) and eight state pavilions (Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, Assam, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh), each highlighting unique capabilities, Support framework and opportunities across the semiconductor ecosystem.

• AR Glasses – Enabling immersive training, servicing, and equipment support
• Life-sized replica of IBM Quantum System Two chandeliers – Symbolizing advances in quantum computing
• Semiconductor Chamber  – A futuristic cleanroom environment for next-gen breakthroughs.
• Designed in India Chips from Start up’s for Strategic warfare, Smart Energy Meter, Energy saver AI chips, 6G ready chips, etc.

Overall, Exhibitors praised the quality of interactions, citing meaningful B2B leads, strong networking opportunities, valuable supply chain connections and desire to step up efforts towards India semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem development and transacting business opportunities.
