Shri Kamlesh Chandra Varshney. Whole-Time Member, SEBI, and Shri Jeevan Sonparote, CGM-in-charge Market Intermediaries Regulation and Supervision Department (MIRSD), inaugurated the website for ARRAI on Dec 9th, 2024.
ARRAI, or Association of Registered Research Analysts of India, is a SEBI-recognized registered body representing the SEBI registered Research Analysts in the India marketplace.The key objectives of this association include :
- Bringing together Research Analysts to create a strong &, supportive community that emphasizes collective growth
- Partnering with SEBI & other regulatory agencies on effective policy-making Promoting the adoption of uniform best practices and ensuring the highest level of professionalism and ethical conduct in the industry
- To enhance trust in investors’ wealth-building journey
Speaking on the occasion, Sh Kamlesh Chandra Varshney congratulated the newly formed association for coming together and creating a single platform for all Research Analysts to voice their opinion and for SEBI to be able to consult and communicate with them. He also spoke about how the association can try and work towards bringing more & more unregistered folks into the regulatory fold. Further, he also spoke about the role that RAs can play in investor education and creating awareness about long-term investing habits Sh Jeevan Sonparote who has been interacting regularly with the founding members of ARRAI also conveyed his best wishes to the Association on this occasion. Mr Mayank Bansal and Mr Punit Madan on behalf of the Association expressed their gratitude and felicitated the distinguished SEBI guests. Mayank on behalf of the association spoke about how RAs are the knowledge workers of the economy enabling the investing public to make better investment decisions. This in turn enables efficient capital allocation in the financial markets. The online meet was attended by more than a 100 Research Analysts from all over the country.
The launched website will enable all 1,400+ research analysts to join as members and participate in the policy-making and consultation process.
