An MoU was signed on Monday between the Uttar Pradesh government and mobile major Samsung to expand its manufacturing unit in Noida by investing Rs 1,970 crore, officials said.
NEW DELHI: The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Samsung officials.
The Chief Minister said the production of refrigerators, televisions and mobile phones in the state would be a big boon for its people.
Chief Secretary Rahul Bhatnagar said the expansion of the Noida manufacturing plant would allow Samsung to double its production of mobile phones.
