The New Shop, a chain of high-speed retail stores by ProductX Ventures has announced their strategic partnership with Kevin Harrington, an original “Shark” on the Emmy-winning TV show Shark Tank. Kevin brings with him extensive experience in business, retail, and distribution along with his expertise in building and scaling consumer products and the art of selling. The New Shop association also marks Kevin’s first investment in India.
ProductX Ventures Pvt. Ltd. was established in 2017 to solve the problem of efficiently sourcing, developing, and distributing innovative consumer products for institutional buyers. Its product offerings range across lifestyle, wellness, and personal care. The company has been associated with industry leaders in sports retailing, direct selling, hospitality, and corporate gifting, and has also partnered with top convenience store chains, global retail chains, and FMCG MNCs.
Its retail initiative, ‘The New Shop’, is a highly scalable chain of retail stores in alternative distribution locations for customers to try and buy new and unique FMCG products that are relevant yet cannot be found anywhere else. The company currently owns and operates over 35 stores within the Delhi-NCR region. With the undisclosed funding from Mr. Harrington, The New Shop aims to increase the number of its stores to 200 over the next 3 months and eventually scale upto 100,000 stores in 5 years, thereby, disrupting India’s retail space by exclusively partnering with unique FMCG companies based across the country. The New Shop launched its flagship store at GoWork@108, located in the heart of Gurgaon.
