The Central Railway in collaboration with Western Railway and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) organized a Vendor Development Meet recently for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the region.
This is the second programme on vendor development for Railways, being organised all over by the Railways in collaboration with SIDBI. Ministry of Railways have shown clear mandate towards MSMEs.
The programme was held at the Central railway Auditorium Mumbai and was attended by more than 100 MSMEs.
FISME is collaborating with SIDBI in organising the programmes and mobilising MSMEs for the programme.
The meeting was organized with an aim facilitate ease of doing business. Over 184 vendors of the Western region including local vendors from Mumbai were a part of the meeting
D.K. Sharma General Manager of Central Railway presided the meeting. Also senior officials including Vishal Agarwal Additional General Manager, Central Railway, V.K. Jain PCMM Central Railway, P.C. Sharma, PCMM, Western Railway, Mahesh Chandra, along with other senior officials from Central Railway and Western Railway were a part of the meeting.
Presentations on the procurement procedures were made during the dedicated session of the vendor development meet.
