Railways Committed towards MSMEs: Manoj Sinha

“MSMEs are an integral part of the nation building. At railways, MSMEs are involved in almost every area. We would certainly like to grow to the next level by working with MSMEs. In order to do so, if capacity building is required we must work together to achieve this as well,” commented Mr. Manoj Sinha.

New Update
Manoj Sinha, Railways

Ministry of Railways is committed towards building a sustainable ecosystem of holistic growth through building infrastructure, this was communicated by the Minister of State for Railways, Manoj Sinha. He also stated that Railways is following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mantra of “Reform, Perform and Transform". “The success of reforms requires development of sustainable, transparent, efficient and responsive supply chain, we at Ministry of Railways are committed towards these,” says Manoj Sinha.

Speaking at the inaugural session of “Suppliers’ Samvad” - Journey towards Digitisation, Transparency & Ease of Doing Business' here, Mr Sinha said the Suppliers’ Samvad would boost the Indian Railways’ efforts to reduce entry barriers, promote competition and fairness, develop MSEs, MSMEs and reduce inefficiencies and deliver the outcome expected of the government's policy initiatives.
“MSMEs are an integral part of the nation building. At railways, MSMEs are involved in almost every area. We would certainly like to grow to the next level by working with MSMEs. In order to do so, if capacity building is required we must work together to achieve this as well,” commented Mr. Sinha.
He informed that Railways would soon launch digitisation of suppliers’ bills which would help improve transparency and align industry with “Digital India” initiative. On one hand it would introduce transparency and efficiency into the railway-vendor relationship and, on the other it would enhance ease of doing business for the vendor, he said.
