Pantherun Technologies, a leader in industrial-grade data protection and encryption, has launched ‘Pepper’, a FPGA-based open-source development platform designed as a DIY module tailored for Edge product development. Pepper offers unmatched customization, connectivity, and performance, setting a new standard in IC Design, embedded systems, networking, and IoT development. Pantherun brings its pioneering network and encryption technology that goes into markets as diverse as Railway, Defence, Industrial, automotive, and Robotics, to users of Pepper, so they can rapidly build and deploy solutions.

At its core, Pepper is a FPGA System-on-Chip (SoC) that allows users to reprogram the chip in addition to Embedded and Application programming, unlike any other platform available today. Combining a powerful FPGA core with Pantherun's proprietary latency-free AES encryption, Pepper provides unparalleled security at the highest of network speeds. It is ideal for building networked devices, IoTs, Sensors, Cameras, switches, and routers, offering extensive customization and connectivity options, whether starting from scratch or integrating into existing systems.

In today's interconnected world, security is crucial. The Pepper platform is equipped with advanced security features like AES encryption, multiple VPN protocols, and firewall options, and it is certified to global standards, including CE, and FCC. This makes it ideal for deployment across industries such as automotive, railway, defense, robotics, automotive, industrial and smart cities. It is made to fit the needs of a wide range of users, from new to seasoned engineers, offering a wealth of lessons, tools, and support to enable developers to create and implement solutions more quickly. Pepper is built on the same FPGA technology as Pantherun's rugged industrial product line—including the Flex RTU and Ethernet switches Grace, Buoyant, and Agile, ensuring reliable, time tested performance with advanced network management, reduced latency, and robust security in even the most demanding environments. These products have already proven their durability and dependability in challenging industrial settings.

“With Pepper, we’re enabling a new era of Edge product development. This platform is designed to meet the diverse needs of today's industrial environments, providing a robust, secure,     and customizable solution that helps our clients stay ahead in an increasingly connected world,” said Mr. Srinivas Shekar, CEO and Co-Founder of Pantherun Technologies.

To support users at all levels, Pantherun plans to offer various modules, video tutorials, and an online community for knowledge sharing and assistance. “Pepper’s focus on education and community makes it an ideal tool for both professionals and enthusiasts, fostering rapid product development and innovation,” Mr. Shekar added.

Founded in 2019, Pantherun Technologies’ cutting-edge solutions reduce the resource requirements for data protection on edge devices by eliminating the need to exchange encryption keys, enabling easy implementation of AES encryption on resource-constrained devices and setting a new industry standard.
