NTPC Begins Second Phase of Telemedicine Centres Among 14 Stations

NTPC aims to make medical services accessible to all the remote locations of NTPC power plants. The Telemedicine centre would enable the employees and their families to have free consultations with specialist doctors from different fields. The patients would be connected to the doctors from within and outside the organization through video calling.

NTPC Ltd, India’s largest integrated energy company begins second phase of Remote Telemedicine Centres at 14 of its projects/stations across India. Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC ltd inaugurated the telemedicine centres virtually with C-DAC in the presence of Shri D.K. Patel, Director (HR), Shri M S D Bhattamishra ED (HR), Col. Asheet Nath, (Retd.), DG C-DAC.

NTPC aims to make medical services accessible to all the remote locations of NTPC power plants. The Telemedicine centre would enable the employees and their families to have free consultations with specialist doctors from different fields. The patients would be connected to the doctors from within and outside the organization through video calling.

Heads of Projects/Stations of (Barauni, BRBCL-Nabinagar, Darlipalli, Farakka, Gadarwara, Kahalgaon, Kanti, Khargone, Koldam, Kudgi, Lara, Meja, NPGCL-Nabinagar, Pakri Barwadih, Rammam, Rihand, Talaipalli, Tapovan Vishnugarh, Vindhyachal), their CMOs, Heads of HR & Medical, and the IT team were present on the occasion.

The beneficiaries of all these projects and stations can avail Telemedical consultation from NTPC doctors, specialists and doctors of corporate hospitals like Apollo, Medanta, BLK, SGPGI.

Fourteen projects have been now added to the existing network of four projects. At the end of March 2022, another  ten more will be added,  then there will be total 28 NTPC projects whose beneficiaries can avail Telemedical consultation.
