In an attempt to handhold the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the region and belonging to the SC-ST community, NSIC under the MSME Ministry in association with Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) is organizing State Conclave in Vijaynagar region of Bengaluru.
NSIC informed of the upcoming conclave during a press meet organized by KASSIA, NSIC recently.
The conclave is to take place at KASSIA Auditorium, Vijayanagar, Bengaluru on 14th December 2017 from 9.30 A.M onwards. The event is being organized under the aegis of the Regional SC ST Hub office (NSSHO) under the NSIC, Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises.
The main aim of the event is to take cognizance of various endeavors undertaken by the State / Central Government to boost entrepreneurship and ensure higher participation of SC-ST Entrepreneurs in the supply chain of CPSEs requirement.
The Government of India has formulated Public Procurement Policy, 2012 which states that 4 per cent of total procurement of goods and services made by Central Ministries and CPSEs shall be from Micro and Small Enterprises owned by SC & ST entrepreneurs, the conclave is being held along those lines.
National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) was launched by Prime Minister Modi with an aim to achieve the mandate under the Public Procurement Policy.
