MMTC-PAMP, India’s only LBMA-accredited gold and silver refinery is delighted to announce the launch of the Limited Edition Lord Mahavir Gold Coin. The launch coincides with Mahavir Jayanti, the most important religious festival for Jains, celebrated on April 4, 2023.

The Lord Mahavir Gold Coin is a tribute to the birth of Lord Mahavir, the last Tirthankara (enlightened being) of Jainism. The coin is crafted with the utmost precision and bears the image of Lord Mahavir on the obverse side, with the Ṇamōkāra (also known as the Navkar Mantra) inscribed along the edge. The namokar mantra is the five-fold salutation that can destroy all the sins of the chanters.

The coin is made of 24-carat gold and is available in denominations of 20 grams. The design of the coin is inspired by the rich heritage and culture of the Jain community and is a symbol of their faith and devotion. Also known as Vardhaman, Mahavir was the 24th Tirthankara (supreme preacher) of Jainism and propagated the message of ‘ahimsa’ (non-violence) in everyday life.

Mr. Vikas Singh, MD & CEO of MMTC-PAMP, elaborated on the significance of the Lord Mahavir Gold Coin launch and noted that the coin serves as a tribute to Lord Mahavir, who is a significant spiritual figure for the Jain community.

"We are proud to launch the Limited Edition Lord Mahavir Gold Coin in a fitting tribute to the leader of the Jain community. The coin is a tribute to Lord Mahavir and represents the rich heritage and culture of this religion that promotes the tenet of non-violence. The design of the coin is inspired by the intricate and beautiful artwork that is a hallmark of Jain art and architecture. We hope that the coin will be cherished by the community and will be passed down as a family heirloom for generations to come,” he said.

To ensure the product’s authenticity, each MMTC-PAMP product carries a unique number and comes packaged in a certified signed by an Assayer. Each gold and silver product bought from MMTC-PAMP offers a positive weight & purity balance, which guarantees that every coin or bar you buy weighs more than the listed weight, ensuring customers get the highest value for their investment.
