L&T MRHL Wins Triple Honours, Crowned PPP Project of the Year at ET Now Infra Focus Summit 2025

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) has achieved a landmark month of recognition, winning three prestigious national awards that reaffirm its position as India’s most successful metro rail project under Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

At the ET Now Infra Focus Summit 2025, held on 19th September in New Delhi, Mr. KVB Reddy, MD & CEO, L&TMRHL, proudly accepted the Editorial Choice Award – PPP Project of the Year. This top honour acknowledges the vision, scale, and transformative impact of Hyderabad Metro, which continues to set benchmarks as the country’s most exemplary and the world’s largest PPP model in Metro Rail. The award was presented by Col. Parikshit Mehra, Secretary, Govt of Telangana.

Adding to this milestone, L&TMRHL became the first metro in India to win the CII 26th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management on 18th September 2025. This recognition highlights the company’s relentless pursuit of energy efficiency and sustainability, further strengthening Hyderabad Metro’s reputation as a pioneer in green urban transit.

L&TMRHL also clinched the Platinum Award – the highest recognition at the 53rd  CII National Kaizen Competition 2025 recently for its innovative “Ring Main Power Supply System with Intelligent GIS Panel Redistribution.” Competing among India’s leading corporates, this win showcased Hyderabad Metro’s engineering brilliance and its drive for continuous improvement in operational excellence.
