JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd. (JHS), a leading Indian manufacturer of oral care products, has announced a strategic investment of ₹250 million (25 crores) to expand its manufacturing capabilities in Kala Amb, Himachal Pradesh. The company is set to build a new manufacturing unit to cater to increasing demand, install new technologies for future product lines, and pursue next-phase growth and long-term strategy.

As a part of this expansion, the company will build a new manufacturing unit of 100,000 square feet on an existing land resource of 5 acres. This is a 2-year project, expected to be fully operational by 2027. The company plans to install new equipment for specialised, high-growth product categories. This strategic move is a direct response to Letters of Intent (LOI) received from key customers seeking JHS’s proven manufacturing quality in new segments.

The company is constantly adding new products to its portfolio, like the latest Anchor free toothbrushes, dental floss sets, ultra-soft Butter on Gums toothbrushes, Gentle Giant, and Dynamic Luminance ranges. The enhanced facility is expected to generate an annual revenue of up to ₹1 billion (₹100 crore) upon reaching full utilisation and also to create approximately 500-600 new jobs in the region.

“This is a demand-driven and customer-focused investment, and our contribution to the Make in India initiative. By investing in this new infrastructure, we are aligning our capabilities with global demand for cutting-edge technologies. We want to position JHS as a one-stop solution for all oral care products for all brands across the globe.”, said Nikhil Nanda, Founder and Managing Director, JHS Svendgaard.

JHS is the only Indian manufacturer to provide a full range of oral care products at one place. For years, JHS has been a proud partner for established brands like Dabur, Patanjali, Walmart, Amway, and many others. Recently, JHS secured the U.S. Medical Device Certification and solidified its position as a trusted global manufacturing partner. The expansion also underscores JHS’s sustained focus on operational excellence and its vision to be a world-class manufacturing partner for both domestic and global brands.
