India International Trade Fair opened for general public from 19th November 2016. The weekend attracted over a lakh visitors to Pragati Maidan.
There was a frolic mood of the visitors and they enjoyed weekend at Pragati Maidan.
Increase in visitorship is due to reduction in price of tickets from Rs. 120/- to Rs. 100/- on weekends by ITPO, customer friendly initiatives such as availability of swipe machines and provision of e-wallets. State Bank of India and Axis Bank has provided 175 and 43 swipe machines respectively. Paytm and Free-Charge have provided 672 and 260 e-wallets respectively. Easy access to these cashless transactions led to efficient business.
Pragati Maidan not only offers business opportunities at trade fair but also cultural events and varieties of eateries of almost all states which makes IITF a major attraction for the public. The Cultural events by Korea, Manipur and Kerala added major attractions to the fair.
