The Haryana Government is planning to set up industrial clusters in Ambala to encourage micro enterprises in the state.
Apart from this, the state government is making concerted efforts to develop the textile market of Ambala, Haryana's Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu said interacting with media-persons after presiding over a monthly meeting of District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee.
On the contrary, the local industry representatives have a different perspective on such developments. General Secretary of Ambala Scientific Instruments Manufacturers ' Association (ASIMA), Rajneesh Goomer said that Government’s terms & conditions and consultants are not industry friendly for setting up the clusters here for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
He said, “Under the cluster scheme, we are not able to do anything, even all the responsibilities have been put on the person who is setting up the cluster.”
He informed that the work on setting up clusters here being is on progress since 10 years but it is completely a failure.
“They are just changing the wrapper of the scheme else everything is same,” he said.
AISMA Secretary highlighted that nothing has been done to set up a tool room for scientific instrument industry. State Industrial Development Corporation (SIDC) has taken the land but that is kept empty.
Meanwhile, on being asked about setting up of a tool room for science industry and micro-enterprises in Saha, Haryana, Industrial Minister of Haryana Mr Abhimanyu mentioned, "The previous state government had only misled the people and entrepreneurs by laying its foundation stone, but no budget provision was made for its construction."
