With an intent to promote technologies, India will set up a Technology Demonstration Centre (TDC) in the Tanzania with the support of NRDC, an enterprise under the Ministry of Science & Technology.
To facilitate this, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed recently between the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) and the Tanzania Industrial Research and Development Corporation (TIRDO).
Under this MoU, NRDC will set up the TDC to exhibit or demonstrate the functioning of technologies and machines which are typically suitable for Tanzania, said H Purushotham, Chairman & Managing Director of NRDC.
Earlier this week, during the ninth session of India-Tanzania Joint Commission Meeting (JCM)-2018 which was chaired by External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, the MoU was signed between two parties.
TIRDO said in a release that it will also facilitate the training of the entrepreneurs in Tanzania for operating of these machines, which will help in setting up of large number of micro, small and medium enterprises and start-ups in Tanzania.
