India’s largest furniture manufacturer, Godrej Interio, has launched their brand new furniture and custom interior design services website designed by Bangalore-based user experience design company Redd Experience Design. With more than 56 exclusive showrooms in 20 cities, Godrej Interio are also present in 800 dealer outlets across India.
Speaking about this, Ashish Jain, Head, E-commerce, Godrej & Boyce, said: “Godrej Interio helps in creating home spaces where families can enjoy moments of love, laughter, passion and togetherness. Our brand focuses on creating immersive and customer-friendly interfaces across all touchpoints and the website is the first step towards a true omnichannel experience, connecting today’s tech-savvy customers with the contemporary products of Godrej Interio.”
While other e-commerce companies have been in business in India for a long time, Interio’s entry into the fray is a significant step in the Indian furniture e-commerce vertical owing to the fact that they have extensive retail and distribution channels. They are now equipped to service customers in a substantially large number of zip codes right out of the gate.
“Godrej Interio setting foot in the e-commerce space has happened at a time when the rest of the industry has evolved considerably over the last few years. This also posed a challenge for our design team as it meant that we had to design a significant number of features that customers have come to expect from other platforms before we could get to the features that are specific to Godrej’s business and help them achieve competitive advantage,” added Sharan Grandigae, Founder and CEO, Redd Experience Design.
Redd Experience Design (www.redd.in) specialises in helping well-known start-ups and enterprises like Urban Ladder, Lenskart, Asian Paints and Discovery Channel develop and deliver superlative user experiences. They have also released their own products like Redd Drop that helps in file transfer; Redd Board, an app for designers to present and annotate and Redd Scapes, a context-sensitive display for motion and static digital art.
