French Minister Alain Vidalies Meets Venkaiah Naidu, Discusses Scope of Collaboration

NEW DELHI: The French Minister of State for Transport, Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Mr. Alain Vidalies called on the Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information & Broadcasting, Mr. M. Venkaiah Naidu here.

The two sides discussed the status of Metro rail projects in India, such as already operational Metro rail/Mono rail, under construction Metro/MRTS Projects and metro projects under consideration. Smart Cities Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission were also part of the discussions.

The Ministers also considered the possible areas of further cooperation between the two countries such as technical and investment assistance to Puducherry, Chandigarh & Nagpur for project development and implementation, support to Smart Cities in Maharashtra, assistance to National Mission programme and sending experts and professions from French Cities to build capacity of Smart Cities.
