The Apex export promotion organisation of India, Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) said that the expo is providing wonderful opportunity to Micro and Small exporters to showcase wide range of quality products to high demanding customers.
Commenting on the Indo-Singapore trade on the sideline of Singapore International Expo, President, FIEO, Ganesh Gupta said, "The expo is providing wonderful opportunity to Micro and Small exporters to showcase wide range of quality products to high demanding customers in Singapore."
"Exporters will move from B2C to B2B platform through participation in such Expo," observed Gupta.
India's export to Singapore grew by 23 percent last fiscal though overall exports grew by only 4 percent.
Yet bilateral trade between India and Singapore is only 2.52 percent of India's overall trade.
FIEO Chief said that we can easily reach USD 25 Billion trade with Singapore by 2019-20 from the current level of USD 17 Billion.
FIEO has participated with 89 companies representing Apparel, Gems & Jewellery, Furnitures, Handicrafts and Textiles. The participation is likely to be doubled in 2018 said Gupta.
