Eros Innovation has announced the completion of approximately USD 150 million in new capital and strategic transactions, marking a major step in the company’s evolution into a next-generation, AI-driven media and entertainment platform. The announcement, made in London and Abu Dhabi, reinforces the company’s valuation of USD 2 billion, backed by more than USD 1 billion in assets, zero external debt, and positive free cash flow.
Founder and Chairman Kishore Lulla said the new financing and acquisitions strengthen both the scale and discipline of the company’s growth plans. “With over USD 1 billion in assets, USD 150 million in new capital and acquisitions, USD 35 million in EBITDA last year, and a clear trajectory to exceed USD 100 million by December 2026, Eros Innovation is scaling with both profitability and discipline,” Lulla noted.
“We are building the sovereign creative infrastructure of the future — where content, capital, and computation converge to deliver intelligent and ethical entertainment to billions of people.” Lulla added.
The USD 150 million in completed transactions include a USD 50 million primary capital investment led by Plenitude Capital at the Dubai International Financial Centre, advised by Greenband, and roughly USD 100 million in high-value acquisitions spanning film, music, and AI-related creative and technology assets. This infusion of capital will be deployed to expand AI infrastructure and compute capacity, accelerate immersive content development, and grow the company’s monetizable IP library to enhance recurring and scalable revenue streams.
Central to the company’s next phase is Eros GenAI, a proprietary multimodal foundation-model platform developed with IIT Chennai. Trained on 1.5 trillion cinematic, musical, behavioral, and cultural tokens, the platform is positioned as India’s first sovereign cultural AI stack. Its capabilities include AI-driven video generation and editing, automated lip-sync and voice synthesis, generative audio, and intelligent character creation. Eros GenAI will serve as the intelligence layer across the company’s entertainment tools, applications, and live and virtual experiences.
Eros Innovation has also reached an agreement to acquire Empirical Wax, a London-based immersive entertainment studio known for real-time AI-driven musical and cinematic environment production. The company will integrate the studio into its Eros Xperiences division, enhancing its capabilities in live avatar concerts, virtual stage environments, mixed-reality productions, and cross-platform storytelling across mobile, AR/VR, and physical venues. In addition, Eros Innovation has completed the acquisition of a USD 97 million intellectual-property portfolio, adding films, music, and multilingual digital content that will both expand its licensing base and serve as a significant asset for future AI training.
With more than 80 million subscribers, a catalogue of 12,000 film titles, 100,000 AI-ready characters, and over 2 billion global fans, Eros Innovation now operates one of the world’s most expansive entertainment ecosystems. These assets will underpin the upcoming Eros Universe Super App, a creator-economy platform designed to unify AI tools, tokenized content, character-led storytelling, and immersive experiences. Designed for global distribution and monetization, the Super App aims to enable creators, partners, and fans to collaborate and co-create stories and experiences in real time across multiple markets.
