Scaler, a leading ed-tech start-up for upskilling students and working professionals, has announced plans to vaccinate all its employees and their immediate family members as part of a workplace wellness initiative. At present, more than 95% of the company’s workforce continues to work-from-home, and they will be covering vaccination expenses for its 350+ member workforce and their immediate families.
The company has also insured all its employees for Covid Cover under Group Health Insurance with a coverage sum of INR 5,00,000 per employee. Efforts are in place to extend the same to dependent family members of employees as well. Further, employees are entitled to avail indefinite paid leaves if they or their family members contracted the virus.
Elaborating on the initiative, Abhimanyu Saxena, Co-Founder, Scaler and InterviewBit, said, “At Scaler, we strongly believe in the holistic wellbeing of our employees and are committed to ensuring work-life balance through employee-friendly practices. For instance, even before the pandemic, we offered flexible-workdays, work-from-home and flexible-timings, among other policies allowing our employees to work conveniently and effectively. The Covid-19 virus is here to stay, and getting vaccinated is one way for us to continue living our lives with some sense of normality. We are, therefore, working actively towards ensuring our employees and their immediate families are safe, healthy and happy.”
The company is also exploring collaborations with leading healthcare service providers to enable their workforce to avail the vaccine in their respective hometowns. The vaccination drive is entirely voluntary and will be carried out per the Government’s eligibility guidelines.
