Delhivery today announced that the company has reduced delivery schedules on Makar Sankranti to ensure family time and avoid peak kite-flying hours for Delhivery Riders. To support this, Delhivery is compensating riders for the entire day, matching their average daily income despite the reduced working hours. Furthermore, Delhivery also hosted Patang Utsav where hundreds of riders and their children participated in designated kite-flying zones.
"Our delivery partners are the backbone of our operations, and their safety is paramount. In Ahmedabad, Uttarayan is a significant festival. We want to ensure our partners can celebrate without worrying about daily earnings or road safety risks. By reducing working hours while protecting their income, we hope to add to their festive cheer and reinforce their value to the Delhivery family,” said Prashant Gazipur, Senior Vice President of Last Mile Operations at Delhivery.
