The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) is organizing a New India Summit on the 9th and 10th of November at Nagpur to address the progress and issues faced by the real estate developers from Tier II, III & IV cities in the country. With the theme of “Small Towns, Big Capabilities”, CREDAI aims to realize the true potential of developers from non-metro cities to increase their contribution to the Indian real estate industry.
The real estate industry, having gone through a revolutionary phase, provides an extremely exciting opportunity for all realtors to participate. CREDAI believes an increase in involvement would be beneficial for all. The undoubted potential of the Tier II, III & IV cities is also evident from the current growth rate of the industry in non- metro cities which stands at 79%, while the same for metro cities is 21%. CREDAI, in an attempt to elevate that number to an even greater degree, aims to set up a platform wherein the factors behind the small- scale cities’ long term sustainable growth can be ascertained and managed.
With Hon'ble Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi’s ambitious project of “Housing for all by 2022” also acting as a catalyst for the industry, CREDAI understands the importance & significance of the role that realtors from smaller cities will play in the long term growth of the industry and the economy as a whole.
The forum will be attended by Hon’ble Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of the state of Maharashtra & Hon’ble Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation. The event will facilitate and impart knowledge regarding different aspects like improved infrastructure, construction of low cost houses, using advanced business techniques for sales & efficient utilization of financial resources, amongst other things.
The summit will also witness the launch of the book “Makers of New India”, which intends to highlight the various industry initiatives that have been undertaken by CREDAI.
CREDAI National President, Mr. Jaxay Shah, shares his opinion “The new era in the Indian Real Estate provides an exciting opportunity for the entire real estate eco-system. Favourable dynamics, increased consumer confidence & government policies have provided a fresh impetus to the industry. In order to be able to fully leverage this, CREDAI believes it’s imperative that we work cohesively for the combined growth of the industry and the economy. The true essence of the New India Summit lies with our commitment to manifest a suitable environment which enables the sustainable growth of realtors belonging to non- metro cities.”
Mr. Getamber Anand, Chairman, CREDAI National, says “We at CREDAI, have always been a keen supporter of the new government policies introduced. As a leading industry body, we attempt to contribute to the ‘Housing for All by 2022’ mission by encouraging our strong member developer community to work towards the development of the Tier II, III and IV cities. At the New India Summit we aim to address some of the prevalent issues they face. Additionally, to contribute to our honourable PMO’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ we will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the Zero Garbage plan to increase the participation of the CREDAI members."
