MyGate, India’s largest community management solution provider, announced that they have registered a strong growth in Mumbai in 2020. During the pandemic, MyGate added more than 3500 new societies as customers and close to 4 lakhs new homes in FY20-21 across Mumbai, increasing the total number of societies and homes in the city to 5,000 and 5,50,000, respectively, on its platform. Some of the prestigious societies onboarded over the past year are Samudra Mahal (Worli), Imperial Towers (Tardeo), Omkar Alta Monte (Malad), Lodha Palava (Dombivali, Western Heights (Parel), Rustomjee Pinnacle (Borivali), Arihant Anshula (Navi Mumbai), NRI Complex (Navi Mumbai) and Hiranandani Estate (Thane).
Elaborating on the growth, Mr. Abhishek Kumar, COO & Co-Founder, MyGate, said, “During the early parts of the lockdown, we were able to develop 10 innovative features to respond to the pandemic and figure out virtual mechanisms to deploy our product and train guards on the system. These have helped communities in effective covid management and continue to be a key reason for strong adoption across the city. There has been a significant increase in feature usage, particularly Covid Protect, Quarantine at Home, Virtual Intercom and Leave at Gate.”
“MyGate is now well represented across the city, especially the areas of South Mumbai, Andheri, Western Suburbs, Navi Mumbai and Thane up to Ambarnath and Neral. It is clear that the city is showing mass acceptance of the product and we are glad to be delivering the right product and on-ground service at this time of need. By the end of the year, we are confident of reaching 10 lakh homes in 10,000 societies in Mumbai,” added Mr. Kumar.
Talking about COVID Protect, Ameya Dhuri, Joint Secretary, Prime S1-S9 CHS, Chembur, says, “MyGate’s Covid Protect features are really helpful, particularly Quarantine at Home. We simply mark the flats as quarantined and the information is reflected on the security guard’s app. Even the maids and other vendors servicing these quarantined flats receive an alert. This has been very useful to us. Other features such as Leave at Gate and Temperature and Mask Checks have also proven extremely beneficial. It’s good to see how technology is ensuring better safety in such trying times.”
A technology first company, MyGate has brought about a paradigm shift in the concept of community management in Mumbai as well as other cities, with a series of innovations since their launch in 2018. The company’s eponymous app enhances security and convenience of gated community living. Virtual Intercom and Covid Protect were the most used features among users in Mumbai in 2020. The company today serves more than 3 million homes across 20 cities in the country.
