Cognizant Techfin Centre Inaugurated in GIFT City

Cognizant, a global leader in technology and professional services, today announced the launch of its new techfin centre in GIFT City, marking a significant expansion of its operations in India. The state-of-the-art facility was inaugurated by Shri Bhupendra Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, and Jatin Dalal, Chief Financial Officer, Cognizant; senior leadership and associates of the company.

Located at Pragya II in GIFT City, the techfin centre is designed to accelerate digital and AI-led transformation for global banking, financial services, insurance and fintech clients. Spanning approximately 60,000 square feet across four floors, it will initially accommodate 600 associates with plans to scale to 2,000 associates over the next three years.

Rooted in the rich heritage of Gujarat, the centre’s interiors draw inspiration from the traditional Lippan art of the Kutch region. This intricate mural craft adds a distinctive cultural identity to acoustically treated meeting and boardrooms, blending modern functionality with regional artistry.

Championing employee well-being, the centre features a comprehensive suite of amenities, including wellness zones, a fully equipped gym, yoga space, and a medical centre. Tranquil rooms and neurodiverse-friendly design elements ensure inclusivity and comfort for all. A spacious cafeteria that doubles as a townhall fosters community engagement and informal collaboration.

Special attention has been given to supporting nursing women, with dedicated mother’s rooms and gender-separated accommodations that reflect Cognizant’s commitment to inclusivity and care.

An exclusive executive floor, complete with a reception, lounge, boardroom, and meeting spaces, supports high-level strategic engagements, reinforcing the centre’s role as a hub for innovation and leadership. The center is designed to achieve LEED certification for world-class sustainability best practices.

To support the centre’s growth, Cognizant has initiated a robust recruitment strategy that includes on-campus and off-campus drives, walk-in events, and fresher hiring through strategic partnerships with educational institutions across Gujarat. In addition, the company is enabling internal mobility by allowing associates from other locations to apply for roles at the GIFT City centre, aligning opportunities with individual skill sets.
