build3, the go-to ecosystem to build impact startups (startups which are for profit AND purpose), today announced Cohort 2 of its Impact Startup Academy (ISA). Beginning on Monday, November 25, the second cohort of the ISA closely follows the benchmarks set by the inaugural cohort, with a determined goal of surpassing the standards set previously. The 5-week-long ISA has been designed to bridge the gap between purpose and profit, helping the next generation of entrepreneurs solve critical problems related to the mind, body, and earth (building towards UN SDGs, leveraging ESG).
The ISA has been designed in collaboration between build3 and Gaurav Singh, the country’s first Teach for India fellow with extensive experience in education and training. The second cohort will host 100 potential impact entrepreneurs, to help them create a difference by prioritising purpose and profit simultaneously. The course will also help the next generation of entrepreneurs to integrate sustainability at the core of their solutions and develop new strategies and innovative business models that lead to lasting impact. Registrations for the ISA are currently open and can be done from the academy’s website (https://www.
Mr. Gaurav Singh, impact entrepreneur and co-creator of the Impact Startup Academy, shared his insights ahead of ISA’s Cohort 2 by saying, “The inaugural cohort of the Impact Startup Academy was a lasting success. We were surprised by the extraordinary response, which led us to commence the second Cohort within a short time. At this cohort, our objective remains the same, to create a course that offers 360-degree knowledge for individuals to transform into impact entrepreneurs. We will try to integrate motivational examples to fuel their aspirations, introduced to a like-minded community to partner with and learn from. Our goal is to create a sustainable ecosystem where purpose and profit are seen in a singular way, building towards UN-defined SDGs and leveraging ESG norms.”
The Cohort 2 of the ISA will have two distinctive disciplines — ‘Essentials’ and ‘Build Together’. The first track ‘Essentials’ (INR 1,990 only) will offer 10 core sessions with videos and slides, async content & live chat with the cohort, and specially curated additional resources like articles, videos and podcasts. The second ‘Build Together’ track (INR 6,990) will include everything in the Essentials track, coupled with live sessions, creations & assignments, weekly feedback and Q&A sessions, squads or peer groups as well as a Certificate from Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology.
The course has been designed and curated for three distinct categories of individuals — early-stage founders with an impact idea, aspiring founders looking for an idea and individuals looking to make a positive difference and seeking appropriate guidance. The ISA is also strategically positioned to assist college-goers and young entrepreneurs with a 360-coverage of the impact startup ecosystem, entrepreneurship, market analysis, fundraising and other aspects. However, the course’s primary objective is to create lasting impact and is far from limited to learning but extends to building — ensuring prolonged effect on society and the world.
