Brazil Trade Delegation Discussed Possibilities of Deeper Business Ties with IIA's Delegation, Brazil will be Country Partner in “India Food Expo-2020”

 In this regard on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply of Brazil, Embassy of Brazil and the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein Association, President Indian Industries Association (IIA) Mr Pankaj Kumar and General Secretary IIA Mr Manmohan Agarwal were invited for a meeting with trade delegation at Delhi today. President & general Secretary IIA were accompanied by IIA Delhi State Chairman Dr L.K.POandey also in this meet.

IIA-Brazil Delegation

The Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro, will be the chief guest at the Indian Republic Day 2020 and is leading a delegation of manufacturers, exporters, processors, and associations from the Brazilian meat & poultry and processed food sector to Delhi. The primary aim of the delegation is to promote trade ties between India and Brazil in the agriculture, food processing, meat and poultry sectors. 

 In this regard on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply of Brazil, Embassy of Brazil and the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein Association, President Indian Industries Association (IIA) Mr Pankaj Kumar and General Secretary IIA Mr Manmohan Agarwal were invited for a meeting with trade delegation at Delhi today. President & general Secretary IIA were accompanied by IIA Delhi State Chairman Dr L.K.POandey also in this meet. 

The meeting was held at Taj Palace, Chanakyapuri Delhi wherein Ambassador of Brazil to India Mr Andre Aranha Correa do Lago Minister of Agriculture of Brazil Mrs Tereza Cristina and CEO of the Brazilian Association for Animal Protein (ABPA) were also present. IIA delegation had useful discussions on bilateral trade with all the three of them and the trade delegates from Brizil . President IIA shared the possibilities of exports of products produced by MSME’s in India, the capabilities, size and contribution of MSME’s as well as gave introduction of IIA to the delegates as well as to the Ambassador of Brazil to India.

President IIA invited Brazilian Government through Minister of Agriculture of Brazil to be the Country Partner for “India Food Expo-2020” to be organized by Indian Industries Association at Lucknow Uttar Pradesh in November 2020. The Minister readily agreed to the proposal of President IIA for which formal correspondence will be made soon. Brazilian Minister showed interest to export the raw material for food processing in India by MSME’s for which they are ready to transfer the technology also if required. President IIA assured her to explore the possibilities with Members of IIA who are in large number in Uttar Pradesh to start with.
