Axis Bank Foundation Collaborates with Generation India Foundation to train 10000 Youths Under Project AMBER

The partnership under Project AMBER will support over 10000 individuals experiencing unemployment or under-employment into life-changing careers in India

Axis Bank Foundation and Generation India Foundation have announced their collaboration to provide skill development training to 10,000 youths under Project AMBER. The Project AMBER (Accelerated Mission for Better Employment and Retention) is a joint initiative of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Generation India Foundation (GIF) under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). This project aims to train 30,000 youths, out of which 50% will be women. The training will be conducted in post-COVID resilient job roles, over a period of two years. Generation’s holistic 7-step skilling methodology will be utilized to drive higher quality skilling, improved employment, and retention outcomes.

This collaboration aims to provide skill development training to youth and help them secure better career opportunities. The training will focus on Retail, Hospitality, BFSI, Healthcare, and IT/ITES sectors, and will be conducted in various states, including Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar.

Through this partnership, Axis Bank Foundation & Generation India aims to secure job placement for at least 70% of the trained youth. This initiative will empower the country's youth and enable them to contribute to India's overall economic growth.

This collaboration between Axis Bank Foundation and Generation India can be an effective solution to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of skilled professionals in various sectors.
