A day-long workshop on “Alternative Energy Options for MSMEs” is getting organized at National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME) campus, Hyderabad on the eve of World Environmental day celebrations.
In an official statement, Workshop Director J.Koteswara Rao informed about Ni-Msme, as a pioneer training institution of Ministry of MSME, Government of India playing a proactive role in providing techno-managerial services to foster the progress of MSMEs towards success and prosperity. "We are proactively focused and working on MSME issues." Mr Rao quoted.
“The objectives are the increasing demand for power has led to considerable fossil fuels burning which has in turn had an adverse impact on environment. In this context, efficient use of Energy and its conservation is of paramount importance. Directly or indirectly take up programmes that benefit communities and small industries, over a period of time, in energy efficiency or conservation and enhancing the quality of life and economic well‐being of the local populace. Significantly it supplement our efforts to meet power requirement, apart from reducing fossil fuel consumption”, Mr Rao said.
Mr Rao requested to nominate one or two officers and Executives/Engineers/plant Managers, supervisors in this centre/ /Department/ organization/Industrial sector and SME Sector who are carried out the energy efficiency equipments, solar photovoltaic devices at their work site, to take advantage of the workshop, the statement added.
The Principal character of this institute was to assist the Government in formulating policies for micro and small enterprises and help the practicing and potential entrepreneurs through a host of services like research, consultancy, information, training, education and extension.
